GENESIS 25…ABRAHAM’S OTHER FAMILY
IS GOD FAITHFUL TO HIS WORD?
God is not man that He repents nor the son of man that He lies. Just check out Genesis 25:5-6. Abraham left all be owned to Isaac. But while he was still living, he gave all gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away from his son.
God is not dead pertaining your situation. Abraham who typifies the Father in this book made sure that Isaac was provisioned for all he needed while he was still alive. Why so. The bible eloquently communicates this impeccable truth, Through your seed shall all the nation’s be blessed. We established that the seed here given by a metaphor as Isaac was in reality Christ. So we see here the picture of the Son having everything that the Father has whilst the Father is alive. To be a blessing you ought to have… To be a possessor… Otherwise you end up as a liability. Now can we go confidently before God and thank Him that before we die we shall see the fulfilment of the promises pertaining our lives. Luke, blessed are those who believe for they shall see the performance of the things promised unto them by the Lord. While you live you shall have the possessions of your Father. The Father will send away all those who might strive with you for the blessing. Jesus has all that the Father has… In the same vein He gives without withholding nothing to us.
Isn’t it beautiful to note that though Keturah is introduced on verse one as another wife on verse 6 she becomes a concubine. Why is it so? God is careful to make sure that nobody challenges Isaac’s heir-doom. He alone was Abraham’s heir. So dear friends, it doesn’t matter who might appear to over take you, sit on your throne, be preferable more than you… GOD will always raise a standard against it… For it is an enemy. At the end of it all once an heir, you will always be one. God is not dead… Therefore before you expire, you shall have the last laugh. No wonder why Isaac is Laughter. Your mother is Sarah… Representing the covenant of grace. In these last days GRACE speaks… For GRACE AND TRUTH CAME… no one can take the place of Sarah… She alone is Abraham’s wife. On the same notion , nothing can substitute grace…. It is the covenant for this dispensation .
